I always look out for ways to eat kale, preferably in juice or smoothie. For some reasons, I just can’t bring myself to “munch” it even when it has been cooked and seasoned. For me, chewing kale just give me the same feeling as taking medicine.
Anyway, I know that I have to find the way to consume this healthy leaf. Its nutrient dense makes this mission challenging. And so one day I found this recipe from some health magazine. (Sorry, it was a long time ago, I can’t recall the resource.)And I have been happy with this smoothie ever since.
By all means, add more liquid if you need to. Like kale or not, I really hope you try this recipe out at least once.
- 1 cup fresh kale (just leaf, not stem)
- 12 oz. frozen pineapple
- 2 cups pineapple juice
- 1/2 cup almond milk
