  1. Hi Pang, thank you for mentioning me… I am so glad we are friends! Love your new blog, as always the picture is impeccable 🙂

    • Pang

I am so glad we have kept in touch, Irene 🙂 Keep me posted with any changes on your work, yes?
Meanwhile, I will follow you through those blogs you are currently working on. Great job, by the way 🙂

  2. Well, hello, that was a nice surprise! So kind of you, Pang, to mention my blog and my fiesta. The new blog rocks! It’s very bold and attention-grabbing. Nice job! I’m currently obsessed with dragonfruits myself. I just think they look so cool. But they’re not very flavorful, are they? You know, unlike mangoes or pineapples. 🙂 Still, I’ll bet the smoothie is very refreshing.

    • Pang

I LOVE your honesty, Angie. Well, it depends on dragon fruit itself; sometimes I got lucky with the very good ones, but you are right it’s hard to find good ones since they are not locally grown. Mango & pineapple did help “spice thing up” a bit.
Thank you for your kind words about my blog, Angie. FF has given me a lot…a chance to get to know good people, yourself including and a chance to be supportive to a lovely community, not to mention a chance to swap recipes. 🙂
I am so glad I have found you & your blog 🙂

  3. Thank you for mentioning my blog Pang! You have a really amazing blog and I’m so glad we have met each other! Your recipe and picture are true art! 😀

    • Pang

You have a great blog, Jing, and I am truly glad I found your blog.
I FINALLY get to talk about (somewhat) weird ingredients with friend who understand, well, that’s priceless 🙂

  4. Thanks for mentioning my blog Pang, and thank you for your kind words! It was fun reading your answers! Love your new blog! Your photos are amazing as always! The smoothie sounds very refreshing! Delicious!!!

    • Pang

OMG Olga, you read through all that!!! You are indeed my hero!!!!
You are ALWAYS so sweet, and I do indeed love visiting your blog. I am glad I found yours, and I love that we keep supporting each other. Thank you for your wonderful comment as always 🙂

  5. Congrats Pang! And these picture are just gorgeous!!!

    • Pang

Thank you SO SO MUCH, Lori. You are so sweet as always. xoxo

  6. So THIS is the smoothie you mentioned the other day!! It is GORGEOUS. I wish dragonfruit was more readily available in Houston but alas, I don’t think I’ve ever seen it in stores 🙁

I loved reading through this! You sang in a jazz band?! That is so cool!! I LOVED that story about the lady who bought you flowers. So sweet. And I cracked up at the foamy mouth pet peeve. Hilarious–I’ve never heard that one before. And I’m kind of loving this song you secretly jam out too 😉

    • Pang

Awww… Erika, Thank you so much… I am so happy you enjoy reading through this post. 🙂

I am also so glad you like that song. The band went to the same college as I did (in Thailand), and they played for us (students) all the time when they just started. Now they are huge in Thailand. I thing this song is in the first album.

Btw, even SF doesn’t get this fruit often. I don’t think it’s wildly available at all. 🙁

I am always always love that you are here.. xoxo

  7. Heyyyy hello there what an amazing post and your dragon fruit woooweee…..

Thank you soooo much for nominating me that is sooo sweet of you and congrats also in the first place for getting it and its great to have met you too 🙂 I hope I can do you nomination justice when I eventually get around to forwarding it on hehe…Ps by the way do you have the texture for the award? grins pretty please

    • Pang

Thank you SO MUCH Justine. Glad you are here & glad for your lovely comment as always. 🙂
P.S. Don’t even worry about the award; whenever you get around to do it (or not), just let me know. 🙂
P.S again I am not sure what you meant by “the texture for the award.” Let me know, maybe I can help.

  8. Bwahahahahaha!!
I LOVE your answers!! You really are one of the most humble people I’ve ever (virtually) met.
I’m actually writing this while ‘your jam’ is playing in the background, lol. Great choice of music and musicians, you chose 2 great legends to camp out for!
I think it’s kinda funny that I love the jazz-swing era too. How cool, right?

Thanks for answering my questions, you’re awesome!

    • Pang

hahahaha… I am SO HAPPY you like the answers, and for your comment. I am speechless 🙂
The song you were playing in the background holds dear to me for so many reasons, and I am so glad you like it. And to think that you like the swing era music, too, I feel like we might be separated at birth hahahaha

Thank you so much for stopping by, lady. Your questions are so much fun to answer 🙂

  9. Pang, am really feeling so proud – for mentioning me, and for having my first blog friend!
Love how you wrote about your start, very encouraging.
I never thought of my blog as a space where I could “meet” people, I always have taken it for place where I offer something for people who might need some inspiration, or, most honestly, to give my food photography more live, or get the stories from behind..
How lovely to have “meeting” you 🙂
    Thank you for the nomination!!

I loved the story about the flowers & graduation, very touching.

Your photos are such a pleasure to look at.. as always!

Lots of love your way & to all the fellow bloggers!

    • Pang

awww…Miriam, really I am your first blog friend!!, I can’t be happier to hear that. 🙂
I am glad to meet you, too, really I do. It’s always nice to have a supportive friend, and since we mainly focus on the same thing (photography), we can definitely exchange info, so we both can improve together. I can definitely learn from you and vice versa 🙂

Btw, I am glad you read through this long post hahaha. So happy you like the photos, and xoxo to you as well.

  10. Love this post so much, Pang! So fun to learn a little bit more about you — that animation job sounds fantastic!!! — and these dragon fruit smoothies look spectacular. Dragonfruit is such a crazily unique fruit — I can never get enough of looking at it.

    • Pang

Thank you so much for reading this incredibly long post, Cynthia 🙂
That job made me so happy, too. Whenever I talked about that job, my Thai friends often said that if I stayed in Thailand, I would have been ‘someone’ by now. Well, I would rather find out who I really was in foreign land than being ‘someone’ I hardly knew in my own country, I guess 🙂

I agree with you dragonfruit is so weird looking it’s addictive 🙂
Always glad to have you here 🙂

  11. Ngan was right, beautiful pictures. I saw you commenting on her blog and checked for curiosity, since I love photography too. You’ve got a lovely style 🙂 I like it a lot.

    • Pang

Thank you SO MUCH for stopping by, Marta. So glad to have you ‘here.’
I am so happy I got to visit your blog as well; that rustic style of yours is amazing 🙂

  12. FInally, I get around to thanking you for the award! 😀 Sorry for the delay, but it’s been crazy at my end. Thank you so much for the award and I will link to your blog and leave a comment here as well. Much love <3

    • Pang

Thank you SO MUCH, Shailaja 🙂
So excited to learn more about you. 🙂
