  1. Aaah, how lovely Pang! I used to be a pescitarian, before converting to a full vegetarian. But, honestly, these mussels are so so gorgeous. I’d have never thought to pair them with a saffron sauce, but of course, everything you make is so inspiring and unique. (And not to mention, your photos are pretty as ever!) xo

Awwww… Meghan, you certainly know how to make my day. Thank you SO MUCH for your sweet comment, my lovely friend.
So happy than ever that you approved of my photos. I am so glad my hard work paid off 🙂

P.S. I got the saffron inspiration from the restaurant, Buchon. 😛

  2. What an elegant looking dish. Glad to hear that such elegance can come with ease as I feel my friends would think I was a world class chef if I served them this dish.

    • Pang

I am so glad you found my photos elegance. Also, I am so happy that you are going to make it for your friends.
Thank you SO MUCH, Lynn 🙂

  4. Pang my apologies for such a long absence- I’ve been busy with work and bread making! These mussels look fabulous- absolute delish! Beautiful pictures- I don’t know how you do it! I love your style you know- it makes me jealous any time I’m here 😀 I’m at home this week- I will email you for sure. I really got myself into bread pictures- I love it, can’t stop haha hugs xx

No apology necessary, my lovely friend. 🙂
I am glad you have been busy because practice makes perfect, don’t you agree? In my opinion, taking photos of bread is very challenging; I don’t even know how I am going to stage it.

If you want to chat about anything, yes, please, e-mail me. 🙂

Thank you so much for your wonderful comment, as always, Marta.

    Hi Pang!
My hubby & I prepared your mussel recipe last night for sunday dinner. Absolutely delicious. Had a few tweaks, but non-the-less absolutely delicious! Took leftovers for lunch today!!! Your recipes along with such beautiful photos are so inspiring.
    What’s happening for Valentine????

    • Pang

Thank you SO MUCH for your wonderful comment, Laura & Nora. I am floored that you like my photos 🙂

  6. These dishes are both so beautiful! I love love love mussels, so I’m going to pin this to try with my husband – it’s one of our favorite special treats. I look forward to cooking with (and learning from) you on Friday!

I eat soy sauce, so I’m sure I can eat the non gluten-free chili paste you use. HOWEVER, I was just trying to buy chili paste for another recipe and was stumped at the store when there were SO MANY OPTIONS. What kind/brand of chili paste do you use?

    • Pang

I will show you which chilli paste I use when we meet on Friday. I can’t wait to see you 🙂
Thank you for your wonderful comment, Sarah.

  9. As usual Pang, I love these photos! Can you believe I have never tried mussels before?. To tell you the truth, I am scared to try them. I would love to taste this broth, I bet it is so good!

    • Pang

I was scared to handle mussels, too, but fret not, they are so easy to clean & debeard.
However, if you don’t like mussels, you can use any seafood for recipe#2.
Thank you so much for being here 🙂
      xoxo
