When I just bought something, I had a tendency to use it as soon as possible. Crazy enough, I once wore a new pair of suede shoes to work on the day I suspected it was going to rain. (For those of you who love shoes, you will be glad to know that my suede shoes are still fine because I also brought a second pair to work that day, just in case.) In this case, I am talking about my new background.
I painted it blue, and as soon as the paint dried, I whipped up something to “test drive” my new background. So this post is not so much about the recipe, but all about styling & food photography, which is, in fact, this blog’s main purpose. However, I really didn’t want to leave you disappointed, so I decided to include my favourite ramen recipes from many talented bloggers for you to check out as well. I drooled over all of these posts, and I am SURE you will, too 🙂
Here is the list of my favourite ramen recipes:
- Spicy Miso Ramen-Express by Lady and Pups
- Budae jjigae (Korean “army base stew”) by Two Red Bowls
- Tonkotsu Ramen by No Recipes
- Crockpot Caramelized Pork Ramen Noodle Soup w/Curry Roasted Acorn Squash by Half Baked Harvest
- Quick Homemade Ramen by Pinch of Yum
- DIY Shoyu Chicken Ramen by Pepper
- Duck Stock, Duck Ramen, Duck Heaven by Wild Greens and Sardines
As I was saying that my ramen ‘recipe’ was a result of my enthusiastic of my new background, I needed a quick, easy & photogenic recipe, and I couldn’t think of anything better than ramen. Besides, I have been craving ramen ever since I saw those posts. Though mine was so easy & simple that I didn’t even want to include the so-called recipe in this post, but for the sake of being a food blog, I decided to make this post complete.
Thank you SO MUCH for stopping by. I ALWAYS ALWAYS appreciate it.
super easy Ramen Noodle Soup
- 1 package ramen noodle, discard seasoning inside the package
- 3 cup chicken broth
- 1 handful of baby kale
- 100g. yellow oyster mushroom
- 1 sunny-side up egg
- 4-5 cooked shrimps
- 1 tbsp. chilli paste (option)
- fish sauce, sugar, pepper, to taste
Boil chicken broth in a saucepan; add chilli paste, fish sauce and sugar to your liking. Add ramen noodle and let simmer until soft. Add shrimps and cook until shrimps just turn pink. Remove the saucepan from heat, add kales, mushroom, and cover with lid; wait for 1 minute.
Pour into the bowl, top with egg and drizzle with pepper. Serve & slurp immediately
