About this Blog….

PangHello 3

A Thai gal in San Francisco, I created this blog to showcase my skills in Food Photography & Food Styling. If you are curious about my gears, you can check out this page.

I bake/cook (& cry) in the kitchen like everybody else. Though on most days, you are likely to find me laughing while photographing. I hope you enjoy looking through my blog & my growing portfolio just as much as I enjoy creating each and every post/photo.

Below is a full version of my ‘about’ page πŸ™‚

Hi, my (nick)name is Pang, and I love to cook & bake. I am currently living in San Francisco with my wonderful husband, but I was born in Thailand and lived there most of my school years. Unlike many people, I was not growing up in the kitchen. My parents wanted me to get good grades in school, and eventually became an accountant. (That did not happen!!) So, my main responsibility was to study. I did not know how to cook/bake until I came to the U.S. —— alone.

You might ask why on earth I started this blog. Well, a few years back, I discovered Tartelette, cannelle et vanille, What Katie ate, and Love & Lemon just to name a few, and I have become fascinated with their talents ever since. The abilities to develop tasty recipes and their food photography skills were so inspired. My admiration of their blogs over time was brimmed over that I needed to start my own blog. This blog of mine is the blank canvas to try those skills. This blog started because I wanted to learn all kind of interesting recipes, and I was attempting to take good photographs along the way. Now, my blog’s main focus is Food Photography & Food Styling. I put all my energy on Food Photography & Food Styling for each post. My recipe might not be impressive, and that is OK, but the photographs have to be, well, good enough for me. … hopefully, you like them, too πŸ™‚  Here is my (growing) portfolio.

Please feel free to contact me for any questions. I would love to hear from you. Any suggestions/chitchats are so welcome. Thank you SO VERY MUCH for stopping by.

Let’s make yummy things……

  4. I love looking at your food photographs. You should do a cook book that f course include the beautiful photographs. So what do you do with the food when you are done? Do you have someone who sample them?

I am new at this, and of course, I took many inspirations from your blog; one thing that I have always been worried is to correctly credit back to the original source. Please do not hesitate to “nudge” me if you found that I have been improperly credit your blog. πŸ™‚

What can I say—I love your blog Pang. Your dishes are so artistically displayed, So colorful and look delicious. My regret is that I don;t have time to try all your recipes. I have been successful with the ones I have tried. I’m anxious to try the orange oil cake. Soon I hope. I will definitely let you know how it comes out. Have to find orange oil!

    • Awww…. that means SO MUCH to me. I am SO GLAD. πŸ™‚
If you can’t find orange olive oil, extra virgin olive oil will do; you can grate a little bit more orange zest in the cake instead.

Please let me know how it goes. Drizzle orange compote right before serving, so the cake won’t get too soaky. πŸ™‚

  10. Beautiful photos, and they’re so fun and full of LIFE. πŸ˜€ I can totally relate in the sense that I didn’t necessarily “grow up in the kitchen”. Unless you count eating everything in the fridge, hah! Keep pursuing this because you’re definitely gifted.
